The Department of Defense (DoD) Item Unique Identification
(UID) Policy Office has initiated an IUID Award Recognition
Program officially recognizing individuals and project/program/organizational
teams that demonstrate successful facilitate IUID adoption,
implementation and progression. The current categories are:
• IUID Individual Contribution
Awards
• IUID Team Excellence Awards

The UID Policy Office marked the first recognition of individuals
for their contributions to IUID at the UID & eBusiness
Forum, February 26-27 2008, Arlington Virginia. Three individuals
were recognized for their personal leadership and proactive
commitment to Worldwide Industry and Government IUID Implementation
and included the following:

will be announced at the UID & eBusiness Forums.
